John P. Dambra, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2025, at the age of 90. Born on June 29, 1935, in Brooklyn, New York to his parents Giovanni and Francesca. John lived a life marked by kindness and care for those around him.
He is survived by his loving daughters, Christina Dambra-Benincasa and her husband Raphael, and Laura Haitidis and her husband Zafierios, as well as his son, David Dambra, and his son John Peter Dambra. John's legacy continues through his adoring grandchildren: Jaclyn, Danielle, John Michael, Gianna, Ava, Adreana, Cecelia, Angelina, and Nico. He was also a proud great-grandfather to Marina.
John was predeceased by his beloved wife, Rosetta, whose memory remains cherished in the hearts of all who knew them.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, from 3 PM to 8 PM at Mangano Family Funeral Home, Inc., located at 1701 Deer Park Ave, Deer Park, NY. A Mass in his honor will be held the following day, Thursday, September 18, 2025, at 11:15 AM at Saints Cyril & Methodius R.C. Church, located at 125 Half Hollow Rd., Deer Park, NY, with services concluding at 12:15 PM.
John P. Dambra will be remembered not just for his accomplishments, but for the warmth and love he shared with everyone. His kindness, caring demeanor, and the values he instilled in his family will leave a lasting impact for generations to come.
