Bill DeMayo and his extraordinary family were friends and neighbors of ours many years ago in Cheshire, Connecticut. We deeply value our memories of those years and fondly recall so many examples of Bill's humor and humanity. I know his life was well lived. I send love and encouragement to his family at this time and always.

So sad to hear of Bill's death. He was a great boss and mentor. He had a lasting influence in my life both as a CPA and as an individual. My sincere condolences to the DeMayo Family

My sincere condolences to the entire Family. Bill was my Tax professor while at UNH and one of my favorites. His approach to teaching and his love for his students and his way of teaching us how to think about and process tax law and pass that onto us was wonderful.
He will surely be missed, but he will watch over us.

My sincere condolences, Neda, to both you and Gigi. I was very fond of your Dad as he was always so loving and kind to me when I came to your home in Cheshire. He was one of my favorite people. May you both find that your wonderful memories of your Dad are what give you comfort during this difficult time. He lived a very full and was a role model to many. My thoughts are with you.

I am so grateful to have had Bill in my life...He was such a wonderful man with a big heart and a sweet soul. I loved that he wanted to share his daughter's dream with her. Bill always had a smile on his face and warmth in his heart. I'm so grateful for the quality time I spent with Bill, Stella and Neda not long ago up at the house one evening. I have many memories that I will forever hold deep in my heart for this very special man and his family. I love you XO Jeannine

Condolences to the DeMayo family. My first memory of Bill was when he came to campus at Quinnipiac College in 1965 and I had the honor of being interviewed by him for Ernst & Ernst.
Although I never had the pleasure to work at Ernst with Bill, I did have many opportunities to work with him at the CSCPA, and followed his example thirty years later to become a CSCPA president. When Webster prints its next dictionary, Bill's photo should b next to the word GENNTLEMAAN as its definition. Rest in Peace Bill.

Bill was a wonderfully kind, gentle, and thoughtful man...I enjoyed working with him on our projects at the Connecticut Society of CPAs. Whenever Bill saw me, he made me feel as though I was his long-lost best friend in the world -- and I know that's how he made everyone feel. What a true gentleman.

Our sincerest condolences to Stella and the DeMayo family. MY first introduction to Bill was in 1962 as a new staff member at E&E and learned of his character and kindness. I will never forget that Bill was able to get me a military deferment in July 1962 for one "tax season" so I could pursue the start of my career and then through his contacts was able to get me into a Financing Disbursement Unit in the Army Reserves in Fairfield, CT. Bill was and remains a memorable individual. To steal a well known quote "thanks for the memories".
