John L Dion May 16th,1955 passed on Thursday, October 2, 2025 surrounded by the love of family. He left his mark of love on everyone and it will continue to echo for years to come.
John was born on May 16, 1955 in Michigan to Paul and Barbara (Cushman) Dion. He was the third of eleven siblings. Growing up in Michigan there wasn't a tree or mountain he wouldn't climb. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1974 serving for two years.
Later in life John ventured out of Michigan and found his true love in Montana where he enjoyed his daily view of the big skies and the Crazy Mountains. He loved eagles and could spot one a mile off. He spent many years as a framer swinging hammer and later found employment at the Co-op in Wilsall, where he loved helping neighbors and friends. His church family became just as important to him, helping him keep grounded.
John is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Denise. He is survived by his sons: Matthew Dion and Ryan Scott; and his Grandchildren, Hanna, Hunter, Kilea and Jackson. He is further survived by a myriad of siblings as well as numerous nieces and nephews
