John Donohue

John Donohue, age 54 of Dacula, GA, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2024, after a 25-year battle against cancer. John was born August 22, 1969, at Moody Airforce Base in Valdosta, GA to Brenda Kincaid and Tom Donohue. John was a graduate of Valdosta State University. He was preceded by his mother Brenda Kincaid Donohue, father Tom Donohue and his beloved grandmother Pauline "Molly" Kincaid. John is survived by his wife Sherry Robinson Donohue, his daughter Dylan Annette Donohue and his 3 siblings, Ashley, Rebecca, and Brandon.
John was a devoted and loving husband to his wife Sherry, the perfect father to his daughter Dylan, and a true leader to his siblings Ashley, Rebecca, and Brandon. He also adored the family dog Brooke, who was always by John's side during treatments and recovery.
John's career in the Medical Device Industry allowed him to support, mentor, and provide positive direction to hundreds of employees, who very quickly became lifelong friends. John's lively personality, giant presence and loving nature had lasting effects on everyone who knew him. John was always the life of the crowd who loved sports, was an avid Georgia Bulldog Fan, and was just an all-around nice guy. He loved his family and felt his wife Sherry and his daughter were his greatest accomplishments. John loved the beach, international travel, entertaining and grilling. He fought a long, valent fight against cancer, and he was heard many times stating he had lived a wonderful life and was grateful for the time he had to enjoy all that life offered. He was a devout Christian and loved his Lord and Savoir. John will be missed by all who knew him, but he will always be remembered with a loud voice, an infectious smile and strong presence.
The family will be receiving friends at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel, 3481 Hamilton Mill Road, Buford, GA 30519, on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. A funeral is scheduled at 12Stone Church- Hamilton Mill, 3858 Braselton Hwy, Buford, GA 30519, for Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life will follow at City Lines Grill, 1862 Auburn Road Suite 113, Dacula, GA 30019 from 3:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
