John Dowell Obituary
March 31, 1936 - December 26, 2025
Arroyo Grande - Audre "John " Dowell, 89, of Arroyo Grande, passed away December 26, 2025. Born March 31, 1936, in Nipomo, he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and a skilled carpenter for over 60 years. John is survived by his wife of 58 years, Dolores; children Dana Estrada, Joanna Johnson, and Jody Dowell; and three grandchildren: Haruto, Kaito, and Hana.
Services will be held January 14 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Nipomo: Rosary 9:30 a.m., Mass 10:00 a.m., reception 11:00 a.m. Instead of flowers, consider donations made to Jack's Helping Hand (jackshelpinghand.org).

John Dowell was an exceptional person. I was just looking for a friend that had passed service time and noticed that today was John´s service. My mom and I are so sorry we missed his funeral, Delores. We have great memories of John coming into the shop. My mom, Betty Small wants me to also tell you how sorry she is to hear of John´s passing. They are the same age. He was a great person!

In loving memory of John. He was a wonderful man. I always enjoyed seeing him and Dolores at Little Jocko´s for dinner and have missed that. Bless you, John. You will be missed!
