I remember John from Eastern Michigan University where we were both in ROTC, John being a year ahead of me . We crossed paths a couple of years after that in Germany where John was assigned to an Air Defense unit in Frankfurt and I was S1 with the 41st Artillery Brigade at Babenhausen. John and Wanda so graciously watched our daughter, Elissa and son, Reed while I was at 97th General Hospital with my wife, Margie for the delivery of our son, Jason. Since then we've kept in touch a number of years through Christmas card/letter exchange. So very sorry to learn of John's passing.
