John R. Drdul

Greece, NY: John R. Drdul died Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at age 99. Predeceased by his wife Bernice and his first wife Millie, his daughters, Patricia and Lorraine, his brother Rudolph J. Derdul and sister Helen, Survived by his son, James Gurski; grandchildren, Christine (Eric) Lindeman, Brian (Carol) Cawley, Matthew (Kalah) Cawley, Douglass Cawley, Cynthia Aleo, Tricia (Tom) Furphy, Yvonne Gurski, Deanna Baker, Tom Czbatul; niece Mary Elizabeth Derdul, nephews Joseph (Nancy) Derdul, Paul (Susan) Derdul, and Jerome (Donna) Derdel, 22 great-grandchildren, many dear friends. John served in the Army in the Pacific theatre and was a retiree of the Eastman Kodak Company. He enjoyed polka dancing, gardening and feeding the birds; and spent many hours rooting for his beloved New York Yankees.
No prior calling. His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday (Oct 19th) 10:00 AM at St John the Evangelist Church, Greece. Private interment in PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in his memory.
