John Edward Driver, Jr., born September 1, 1956, in the beautiful coastal city of Virginia Beach, Virginia, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025, at the age of 69. John returned to the very place where his journey began, leaving this world in the embrace of the community he called home for his entire life.

John lived an extraordinary and colorful life, a life defined not by conventional achievements but by the rich tapestry of stories he shared with those around him. His storytelling was legendary among those who knew him, bringing laughter, wisdom, and a touch of magic to everyday moments.

John had a profound impact on many lives with his gentle nature and kind spirit. He held steadfast to his faith, having been raised in the Catholic tradition, which guided and comforted him throughout his life.

John is survived by his beloved mother, Betty Driver, who witnessed the beauty of his life and the love he spread to everyone he met. He will be deeply missed by family and friends who cherished his presence and the stories that made them feel alive including his friend, Cherrie Davis.
