Jimmie Driver Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jimmie Driver, a cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend, who departed this life on November 20, 2025, at the age of 62. Born on May 12, 1963, in Edgecombe County, North Carolina, Jimmie lived a life full of dedication to his work, joy in his hobbies, and love for his family.
Jimmie's career as a Forklift Operator was marked by unwavering commitment and diligence. He served with pride at Flanders for 28 years, consistently demonstrating his strong work ethic and earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues.
Beyond his professional life, Jimmie was a man of varied interests. He found great enjoyment in the thrilling world of NASCAR, where the roar of engines and the excitement of the race captivated him. He also had a passion for skating, a pastime he pursued with enthusiasm. Above all, Jimmie treasured the moments spent with his family, gathering with loved ones and creating lasting memories.
Jimmie was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Lois Durham, his father, Jimmy Driver, his grandmother, Martha Rose Driver, and his grandfather, Frederick "Uncle Bud" Driver. He leaves behind a devoted family who will cherish his memory: his sisters, Marie Whisenant and her husband Walter, Patty Selby and her husband Daniel, and Tammie Stieferman; his brother, Frederick Driver; his nieces and nephews, Alyssa Gibbs and her husband Cruise, Jonathan Waters and his wife Christie and their children Madison and Noah, Justin Waters and his partner Lynn Squires and their children Savannah, Justin Jr., and Brenden; and his dear aunt Marie Owens and her husband "Dorsey" and their child Robert Owens, and his wife Tracey.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Jimmie's life on Saturday, November 22, at the Riverview Baptist Church, where visitation will be held from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 PM.
As we gather to honor Jimmie Driver's life and the impact he had on those around him, we remember him with love and gratitude. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten, as his legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew him.
