John Drolshagen Obituary
John A Drolshagen, 80, of Medford, passed away peacefully at home while surrounded by family on Sunday, June 2nd, 2024, while under the care of Hope Hospice.
A memorial mass will be held Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of service at Holy Rosary Church in Medford.
John was born on November 28, 1943, to the late George and Elva (Anderson). He graduated from Medford Senior High School in 1961and married Charlotte A Piller on June 22, 1963. Together they had four children. After graduation he moved to Sheboygan, WI where he worked at Ebenreiter Lumber Co for 20 years. In 1980 John and family moved back to Medford where he opened and operated C&J's Bar for 35 years prior to retirement in 2015. While operating C&J's Bar he enjoyed playing softball, bowling and hosting brat fry's. As a member of the Taylor County Tavern League, he started the Lite-a-Light dinner for the Elderly. This year will mark the 43rd year of this cherished community event.
When not working, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, splitting wood, gardening and spending time with his family and friends. Not to mention taking road trips to the casino. He was also a big fan of the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte; 4 children, Jackie (Brad) Jentzsch, Cheryl Wibben, John (Joe) (Kim) Drolshagen all of Medford and Brian (Cara) Drolshagen of Rothschild, WI. 9 Grandchildren Katie, Amanda, Megan, Tyler, Brook, Amber, Breanna, Evan and Carter and 8 great grandchildren: Kailyn, Gunner, Willow, Greyson, Remi, Croix, Creed, Derek and one on the way.
Proceeded in death by his parents; grandchildren Derek and Emily; sister Ruby Neuman and brother Lee Drolshagen.

I remember John as a gentle, caring man. He was a great help at our Aspirius volunteer brat fry held at the VFW. He was kind, diligent and had a gentle smile that came from his heart. Our sincere condolences to his dear Char, our friend.
