John Duffy Obituary
Born and raised in Philadelphia, John attended Cardinal Dougherty High School. Following graduation, he enlisted in the United States Navy and during his service he was stationed aboard the USS Intrepid. After his Honorable Discharge from the Navy he continued his service to his country at the United States Postal Service. He retired from the USPS as a maintenance manager(Phila BMC/NDC). John and his wife enjoyed travelling and especially liked to take cruises. They took trips to Alaska, Bahamas, Bermuda and one of their most memorable trips was a Trans-Atlantic cruise to Europe. He also liked to visit Florida during Spring Training.
John is survived by his loving wife Madonna (nee McCrea) and her three children Brady (Lynn) Smith, Megan (Billy) Phillips and Michael Phillips. Devoted Pop-Pop to Ronin, Lochlan and Madonna. Loving brother of Sally Raezer, Kathleen (William) Ennis, Gregory (MaryAnne) Duffy and Timothy (Linda) Duffy. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives, friends and employees of the United States Postal Service are invited to offer condolences to his family on Wednesday January 14, 2026 from 9AM until 12 noon at T.J. Fluehr Funeral Home, 3160 Grant Ave (west of Academy). Religious Service 12 noon. Committal will take place privately at Washington Crossing National Cemetery at a later date.
