Not sure what to say?

John will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his unwavering faith, and the many lives he touched. I am the youngest sibling of six children. My fondest memory was spending the day in Owensboro with our entire family every September (for 50 years) to celebrate mine and his birthdays. We talked and laughed and reminisced of memories while sharing a wonderful home cooked meal made by Arnetta. John will be missed dearly and forever honored in my heart.

Dr. Dunn was such a kind human being and school official. We knew him from his time in the school system while our daughters attended in Daviess County. We knew him at Yellow Creek church as he serves faithfully there. He had such a sense of humor. He was loved and respected by many and will be missed. Our love and prayers for his wife and family.

Out deepest sympathy for the family.
John was an outstanding person.

Dr. Dunn was my principal at DCMS. I played girls basketball and he would be at almost every girls basketball game. The next day at school, he'd always want to talk about the game. He was one of those educators who made a difference and wasn't forgotten about even all these years later.

Dr. Dunn hired me to teach English in his Daviess County Kentucky Middle School building in 1976. Fifty years later I think of that day and how grateful and lucky I was to work for such a capable , kind, fair , brave and generous person. Knowing him helped shape my life in beneficial ways.

To all of Dr. Dunn's family, I wish you peace at this difficult time. May you find comfort with the precious memories of him in the days to come.

John was a really sincere great man who cared

My family always had the warmest things to say about the Dunn family, and of course, we were huge fans of Dr. Dunn.our neighbor, my principal, and my mother and aunt’s boss;) What a true bright light and kind soul he was. May his memory bless you all.

To Arnetta and family: Barry and I were so sad to hear of John's passing. He was such a sweet man and always had smile on his face. Our sympathy and prayers go out to Arnetta and the family for their loss. We will surely miss him.
