Mr. John Willard Dunston, age 79 of Zebulon departed this life on June 27, 2024.
He was born October 8, 1944 in Spring Hope, North Carolina, the oldest son of John and Lizzie Mae Dunston. John is survived by his three sons and one daughter: Stanley Dunston (Kari ) of Raleigh, North Carolina, Gary Dunston (Kelly) of Lawrenceville, Georgia, Mateo "Rudy" Harrison of Denmark, and Aneisha Smith of Spring Hope, North Carolina; grandchildren, Danielle Boone of Raleigh, North Carolina, LaKaila Dunston of Lawrenceville, Georgia, Hannah Dunston of Lawrenceville, Georgia, and Zoe Dunston of Lawrenceville, Georgia. John also leaves surviving sisters and brothers: Esther Mae Dunston of Spring Hope, North Carolina, Minnie Lee Deans (Otto) of Spring Hope, North Carolina, Joe Dunston (Avon) of Spring Hope, North Carolina, and Michael Dunston (Linda) of Spring Hope, North Carolina. John also leaves great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews that he cherished.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at 2:00PM at William Toney's Funeral Home Chapel in Spring Hope. Interment will follow at the Drewery Family Cemetery in Spring Hope. Visitation and Public viewing will be held on Wednesday from 1-2PM, prior to services.
