John Granville Easterday

Obituary
John G. Easterday, 69, of Mount Lena Rd. Boonsboro, MD, passed away at his home on Sunday May 28th after a long battle with Lymphoma.
Born March 23, 1954 in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late Granville "Junior" and Phyllis I. (Brandenburg) Easterday.
John graduated from Boonsboro High School with the class of 1972 and earned a BS in Chemistry from Shepherd University in 1977. John helped design and construct Black Rock Golf Course in 1989 and worked there for 32 years with 8 years as Superintendent, surveying the grounds with his dogs Ginger and Caesar. When not at the golf course, he could be found pursuing his passion as a beef cattle farmer or tending to his flowerbeds. He loved to bestow his knowledge and skill of landscaping unto anyone that cared enough to ask.
He was a member of Mount Lena Methodist Church and later Ringgold Church.
John is survived by his mother Phyllis; his wife of 36 years, Carol; his 3 sons, Chad, Michael, and Aaron; his sister Sandra Stevens; and his 6 grandchildren.
There will be no viewing.
A celebration of life will be held at Ringgold Church on June 6th from 6-9 pm.
