John E. Eberhardt

John E. Eberhardt, 75, of Massillon, passed away on July 7, 2023, with his loving wife by his side. He was born on May 9, 1948, to the late Ralph and Ellen (McKenna) Eberhardt.
John was a 1966 graduate of Massillon Washington High. After graduation, John proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He then married the love of his life, Diane (Davis) Eberhardt on November 28, 1970.
John had a strong work ethic, working for Republic Steel for 47 years before retiring and he was fiercely devoted to his family.
In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing, riding his motorcycle, working out, and attending concerts with Diane. John always enjoyed the company of his family, especially his grandchildren.
He will be deeply missed by his wife of 53 years, Diane Eberhardt; sons David (Connie), Keith (Amanda), Alex (Taryn) and Jay (girlfriend, Samantha) Eberhardt; grandchildren who were his pride and joy, Robbie, Isabella, Kitana, Ian, Kaylee and Jaxson; and siblings Tom (Cindy) Eberhardt, Mary Streamo, Rita (Denny) Ashton and Kathy (William) Staaf.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 11th from 6-8 p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with calling hours beginning at 10 a.m. Pastor Shaun Matako will officiate, and burial will take place at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
The family has requested NO flowers but instead would like you to make a donation to the charity of your choice in memory of John.
