John Ransom Edminsten, age 33, of McLoud, OK passed away Friday, February 7, 2025.
John's early years were spent in Joplin, Missouri, where he attended Eastmorland Elementary School and made many friends and memories. Later, John's family moved to McLoud, Oklahoma where he continued his education, graduating from McLoud High School in 2010.
John pursued his passion for music by attending The Academy of Contemporary Music at the University of Central Oklahoma. He earned his associate's degree in Applied Science, a field that allowed him to further his artistic journey.
Throughout his life, John held various jobs, but it was his love for music that truly defined him. His musical talents and dedication to his craft touched the lives of many. Whether performing, composing, or simply sharing his love for music with friends and family, John's passion for his art was unmistakable. He was known for his kind heart, his adventurous spirit, and his ability to bring people together through his music.
John loved his family and the many friends that he is leaving behind.
John is survived by his parents, Maurice and Teresa Edminsten; his sister, Sara Edminsten; his beloved cat, Maya; and many other beloved family members and friends who will deeply miss him.
He was preceded in death by his Uncle Monte Edminsten, Aunt Cara Cannon, Great Aunt and Uncle Billie & John Giblaint, and his Grandparents, John & Martha Edminsten and Toy & Betty Cannon.
A celebration of John's life will be held on Monday, February 17th at 2:00PM at Cooper Funeral Home in Tecumseh, OK.
