John Edwards Obituary
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Barry Wall officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Community Church Cemetery.
Mr. Edwards was born on July 26, 1958 in Randolph County to the late Arnold and Gladys Yow Edwards. He loved his job at Oliver Rubber where he worked for 42 years. He enjoyed gardening, animals, raising chickens, hunting 'coon and deer, NASCAR Racing and his '56 Chevrolet Bel Air. Mr. Edwards was a great, loving, dedicated husband and father.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Edwards was preceded in death by his brother, Frankie Edwards.
He is survived by his wife, Betsy Briles Edwards of the home; daughters, Beverly Edwards Blalock (Chris) of Asheboro, Kristen Dawn Edwards (Chris) of Asheboro; sister, Shelby Smithwick of Poquoson, VA; grandchildren, Christopher Blalock, Kayla Ann McGuine, Kaylee Elizabeth Fultz, and Carter Matthew Fultz.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday, December 19, 2022, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home of his daughter Kristen Edwards, 1729 Zoo Parkway, Asheboro, NC 27203.
