Nelson H. Edwards, 76, of Toledo, OH, passed away February 3, 2026. He was born in Perrysburg on December 10, 1949, to Nelson and Clara Edwards. Nelson married the love of his life, Jill Edwards, on May 23, 1970. They enjoyed camping, fishing, rides in the car to look for deer, and spending lots of time with family. Nelson was a proud electrical journeyman. He worked for Doehler Jarvis until its closing, and then went on to finish his career with the City of Toledo.

Nelson was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He was a long-standing member of the Mudjaw Bowmen Club, loved attending all the events of his grandkids and great-grandkids, and in recent years became a world traveler with his siblings! He was always around to help anyone with a project. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Nelson was preceded in death by his parents, Nelson and Clara Edwards; wife, Jill Edwards; and sister, Louise. He is survived by his children, Roger (Shelly) Edwards, Jennifer (Mike) Sabin, and James (HeidiAnn) Edwards; grandchildren, Victoria (Ryan) Bonds, Dani Sue Sabin, Keely (Ian) Edwards, Marissa Edwards, and Harrison Edwards; great-grandchildren, Wyatt Bonds, Layla Bonds, James Kerley, and Eleanor Kerley; and siblings, Vivian Smith, Laura (Steve) Mayers, and Steve (Sharon) Edwards.

Friends and family are invited to visit at Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 201 Conant St., Maumee, on Friday, February 6, 2026, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., and on Saturday, February 7, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. with a funeral service beginning at 12 p.m.
