John Eiland Obituary
He was born November 14, 1939 in Chilton County, Alabama, son of the late Tipton Eiland and the late Jessie Eiland.
He was a Supervisor Forman with Southern Cement for 32 years. He loved his family fiercely. He also loved gardening and studying his bible.
He was a devoted Husband, Father and PawPaw, and he always kept his family laughing.
Surviving are his Beloved Wife of 64 years, Margaret Elizabeth Eiland; Daughter, Susan Lynn (Tim) Cain; Grandchildren, Jessica Cherie Faulkner, Jimmy Ricky Faulkner, Jr., Hannah Elizabeth Long and Madeline Rose Long; Great-Grandchildren, Kaylee, Jacob, Christian, Kody, Kenzie and Jack; Brothers, Tommy Eiland and Joe Eiland; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Tipton Eiland; Mother, Jessie Eiland; Daughter, Janet Denise Eiland; Brother, Don Eiland.
Friends will be received Thursday, January 26, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.
Services will be held Thursday, January 26, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Oneil Cleckler officiating.
Family request no flowers. Please make a donation in his memory to one of the following: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105 or Operation Blessings, 977 Centerville Turnpike, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23463.
Interment will follow in Cedar Grove Methodist Cemetery, Thorsby, Alabama.
