Hi John Brown. Saddened to hear you left us. Brought back memories, all good, of coaching you in Little League and Pony League! You and I know your knowledge of baseball was the ball was round. So, it was decided due to the need of a catcher you would fill that need. One day your dad was watching practice. He asked me if that was a good position for you and could you handle it. I told him from what I had seen you was going to be a good catcher and would play at higher levels, and you did!! I take credit for putting you at that position and that's all as you had the grit and determination to do a good job every time you picked up the catcher's mitt. We had a good team, and you were one of the main cogs that got us wins. It was a pleasure coaching you, John Brown, and I am proud of you using your ability to play at higher levels!! I was fortunate having a bunch of good young men. And remember you are just playing catch with the pitcher and ignore the batter. My condolences to your loved ones. Your coach, Tom Williams South Bay/Dunnellon
