Ulice John, 84, departed this life on Tuesday, September 8, 2025 in Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. He was born July 13, 1941 to Adam John and Ada Frank John in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Ulice loved fishing, hunting, watching and TV. He was employed as a concrete worker for over 35 years. He worked doing construction, professional job sites, pouring and leveling concrete, also applying various finishes to surface like sidewalks, floors, and roads, something he loved.

He leaves to cherish his memories four children, Jackie Antoine, Sandra John, Ulice John Jr. and Sedrick John all of Lake Charles, LA; his siblings, Edna Johnson, Mayola Thomas, Gracie Lilly, Christina Withers, Evelyn (Jimmy) Guillory, Joyce (Charles) Withers, Cleveland (Darlene) John all of Lake Charles, LA; two grandchildren, Brandon and Alexis John; three great grandchildren, Mohogany John, Brayden John and Kylon Ardoin; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shelly John; parents, Adam and Ada John; one sister, Ruth Garrick and four brothers: Leroy John, Adam Jones, Herbert John and Michael John.
