John Ronald Everist

John Ronald Everist, 82, of Burnsville, MN, passed away on July 29th, 2025. Memorial services will be held Saturday August 9, 2025 at 11am at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Burnsville, MN.

Ron was born December 13th, 1942 in Memphis, TN, the son of Ronald Glen Everist and Laberta "Betty" (Rapp) Everist. He graduated from Clemons High School with the class of 1961, then went on to College, earning a degree in Agriculture Engineering followed by a Masters in Mechanical Engineering, all from Iowa State University.

On June 20,1964, Ron married Connie (Robinson) Everist in Melbourne, IA. Ron and Connie were married for 61 years. The couple lived in Milwaukee, WI, LaPorte, IN, and the Detroit area before moving to Brooklyn, IA where they raised their two children, Allan and Karrie. It was during this time that Ron began his career with the Donaldson Company, Inc. as Plant Manager in Grinnell, IA and later relocating to Burnsville, MN.

In retirement Ron enjoyed golfing with Connie and friends, woodworking and metal fabrication in his shop, math tutoring at Lakeville ALC, and working at the Crystal Lake Golf course.

Surviving Ron are his spouse, Connie; son, Allan; granddaughters Kaitlyn and Madelyn; sisters, Terri O'Halloran and Myrna Ver Ploeg; and nieces, Kelsi (Ver Ploeg) Vander Meiden and Jenna (Ver Ploeg) Schroeder.

Ron was preceded in death by his daughter, Karrie and parents, Ronald and Betty.

Memorial donations in Ron's memory may be directed to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Burnsville, MN. Donations will be directed to ministries including the Music Program, Art Guild, Mission Outpost, "The Church Mice" group.
