John Stanley Ewasko

John Stanley Ewasko, 88, of Wilmington, Delaware peacefully passed away in the comfort of his home, surrounded by loving family, on Tuesday, September 19, 2023. Born in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania on October 31, 1934, he was the son of the late Stanley and Regina (Honus) Ewasko.
John was a veteran of the United States Army, having proudly served our country in the post Korean War era. He was employed with General Motors and retired as a supervisor after 38 years of dedicated service. An avid Phillies, Eagles and Flyers fan, John also a huge fan of watching the PGA Tour on TV so he could take his afternoon naps. He was an avid golfer along with his wife Ann. They were very active members of Cavaliers Country Club and took many golf vacations over the years chasing warmer weather enjoying each other's company. John was a member of St. John the Beloved Parish.
John is survived by his wife of 66 years, Ann F. (Dando) Ewasko; his children, Cathi Ratasiewicz (Walter), John Ewasko Jr., Mark Ewasko (Jacqueline); his grandchildren, Brian Ratasiewicz, Stacie Buterbaugh (Mark), Casey Ewasko, Amanda Ewasko, and Cole Ewasko; his great grandchildren, Kelsie (Aaron), Lindsay (T.J.), Anthony, Conor, Annika, and Dominick; his great-great grandchildren, Theo, Wyatt, Lainey with a great-great granddaughter, Isabella, expected any day.
Family and friends are invited to visit at St. John the Beloved Church, 907 Milltown Road, Wilmington on Monday, September 25 from 10:30 – 11:15AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30AM, immediately followed by interment in All Saints Cemetery.
