William Ewasko Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Alavon Direct Cremation Service - South Daytona on Mar. 11, 2025.
William Richard Ewasko (aka Bill, aka Dad, aka the Paper King) was born on August 15, 1963, in Scranton, PA-yes, just like The Office-and passed away on February 24, 2025, in New Smyrna Beach, FL, due to natural causes (because, unfortunately, immortality is still not an option).
Bill was a beloved father, business owner, and friend, and he left behind a legacy of laughter, love, and perfectly printed paper. Raised in Pennsylvania by his loving mother, Ann Robchewski, who never met a meal she couldn't supersize, and his father, Anthony Ewasko, who proved that a career in printing could be anything but boring, Bill grew up with a deep appreciation for good food and the endless possibilities that ink and paper could bring. His four brothers, Tony, Eddie, Joseph, and Tommy, made sure he could roll with life's punches before he made his great escape to college in Rochester-subjecting him to years of "character-building" pranks and the usual sibling rivalry. While studying at Rochester University, Bill decided he had endured enough snow for a lifetime. With that, he declared, "Nope, I'm out," and headed south to Florida. There, he studied at the University of Central Florida (UCF) and met his ridiculously awesome wife, Kelley. Together, the two lovebirds built the dopest printing paper company-think Michael Scott, but with actual business skills.
Beyond paper, Bill was a legend in his own right. He was the kind of guy who showed up for the people he loved, whether as a devoted father to Annie, Marie, Christa, and Julia or as the coolest grandfather to Riley, Mariah, Aiden, Ellis, and Skye. He was a community man, a mentor, a sports fanatic, and a walking encyclopedia of random facts. Bill seemed to know everyone and never missed an opportunity for a good conversation, whether with an old friend or a stranger in the checkout line. He was also the kind of boss who genuinely cared about his employees-both personally and professionally (a rare breed, indeed).
Bill's memorial service will be a private ceremony held on a later date. In lieu of flowers or any other traditional condolences, we ask that you donate to Bill's favorite charity: https://www.stjude.org/ and leave us a quick message with your favorite memory of Bill. Because if there's one thing Bill would want, it's for something good to come out of this-besides an excellent excuse for a gathering in his honor.
Bill, you were one of a kind. We love you and will miss you dearly. But knowing you, you're probably already fine-tuning heaven's printing presses, identifying paper stock by touch and smell, and effortlessly out-quoting the angels on print jobs-because even in paradise, someone's gotta keep the margins right and the brochures perfectly folded.

I am so heart broken to hear of your passing Bill. I remember the very first time that we spoke on the phone and met. I remember that Marcus and I shared the story of of our son who was born premature. For Many years you supported our charity The Gift of Life with your printed material so that through the words on the pages of each flyer, each booklet, each card, it brought hope and isnpiration to each family for the last 11 years that was in teh Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. We could not have asked for a better partner to our Gift of Life Charity. The team that you built to help us was amazing. We loved working with you and Emilie, hearts of gold. May you rest in peace in heaven. Thank you this is a rememberance of some of the many many things you did for our families in the NICU...eternally greatful..Rosie and Marcus Moore, foundres of The Gift of Life

I´m heartbroken today as i just learned about your passing. I met you as a young graphic designer at Ewasko Prepress and followed you as you opened Aloma Printing. We had so many great conservations about life and family. I cherished our friendship and watched your family blossom. We fell out of touch when we moved to Brevard and I wish we could have talked one last time!
