John Faehner Obituary
Michael was born in Cleveland, and grew up in Brooklyn, New York. He was a 1961 graduate of Erasmus Hall High School. Michael went on to attend Norwich Military Academy in Vermont before transferring to Thiel College in Pennsylvania, graduating in 1966 with his bachelor's degree. Following college, Michael entered the US Army where he proudly served as a commissioned officer. He served abroad in Korea, where he met his future wife at the officer's club on post. Michael and Mi Ho were married on September 25, 1969 in Korea, and she returned with him to Ohio following his discharge from active duty.
Michael and Mi Ho settled back in Ohio to raise their family while Michael began work at National City Bank as the Bank Manager. Following his dreams, he left National City in the early 1980's and began his career in Financial Planning. Michael founded Faehner Financial Planning and loved working up until 2023 when he finally retired. Michael was also a dedicated family man, and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, typically being outside playing in the yard with them. He also enjoyed listening to music, especially classical, traveling throughout much of the United States and Canada with Mi Ho, and tending to his flower and vegetable gardens.
Michael is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years Mi Ho Faehner; loving sons Brian (Renette) Faehner, and Todd (Jillian Korpi) Faehner; cherished grandchildren Bailey, Reid, and Beatrice; dear brother Marty Faehner. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, October 25, 2024 at Busch Funeral Home, 32000 Detroit Road, Avon, OH 44011 from 11:00 am until the memorial service at 1:00pm. Burial with military honors will follow at Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Olmsted Falls, OH. www.buschcares.com 440-937-6175
