Wilbert Bailey Obituary
Wilbert Earl Bailey born on September 24, 1933, has left this walk of life peacefully to be with the Lord on January 2, 2026.
Having lived a full life defined by integrity, hard work, with deep love for his family. Leaving footprints in the hearts of many. He was a man of strong principles always believing in doing what was right, keeping one's word, and living honestly. He reminded his children to work hard, to never owe anyone, and always pay their debts-values he not only spoke about, but lived every day.
A devoted husband and father, He was the foundation of his family. Having shared many years of love and partnership with his wife, Diane, who preceded him in death in December 2005.
He found his greatest joy in time spent with his family. Sundays were especially meaningful to him, as he enjoyed gathering with his loved ones to watch football, laugh, and simply be together. Those moments reflected who he was-steady, present, and happiest when surrounded by family.
He also, enjoyed having breakfast at Gabes restaurant every morning.
Wilbert was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Diane, and his sons Kenneth (Kathy Bailey, living), Wilbert (Ruth Bailey, living), and Richard.
He is survived by his children: Darlene Micheals (Harry), Joseph(Carol), Beverly, Allen (Kim) Sherrie Mcguire (Dave), Jamie (Julie), Ernest (Brandy), and Shawn (Georgina); as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren who carry forward his values and legacy.
He will always be remembered for his wisdom, strength, quiet guidance, and unwavering love for his family. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Private services will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery Avon, Ohio.
