Mr. John Russell Farrell

John Russell Farrell, of Eldersburg, Maryland, passed away peacefully in his home at the age of 71. He was born on January 18, 1954, to the late John WIlliam Farrell Jr., and the late Jean Kathryn Jones, in Hagerstown, Maryland. He went to Woodlawn High School class of 1972 and later attended community college. He was active in the Merchant Marines. He went on to work for Hillis-Carnes Engineering Associates, as an engineer for many, many years. Johns was interested in fitness and all sports, especially football. He was a big Baltimore Raven's fan. John lived an extremely healthy lifestyle. He ate well, he regularly exercised and also enjoyed running at the park.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sister Joyce McGee, and brother-in-law Michael Lorfing. He leaves behind his sister Mary Lorfing, his sister Barbara Peach and her husband James, brother-in-law Jack McGee, and six nieces and nephews: Karen, Penni, Scott, Eric, Christopher, and Kevin.

At the request of the family, funeral services are private, and they may hold a memorial service at a later date.
