John Patrick Farritor, 46, of Apex, North Carolina, passed away on April 24, 2025, at his home in Apex. John, fondly known as Jack, was born on March 1, 1979, in Pontiac, Michigan, to the late Patrick Farritor and Maureen (Dunne-McGraw). Jack is survived by his loving wife of 11 years Elizabeth Farritor "Liz" and his five children Molly, (10) Nora, (9) Aoife, (6) Fiadh, (4) and Jack (2). Jack was a devoted and loving husband and father and a true family man that dedicated all his free time to his wife and children. Jack was the adored brother to Pat, Kelly Carroll, Tim, Bridget Davis, Caitlin, Brendan and Peter. Respected and admired nephew, cousin and friend to many.
Jack was predeceased by his son Sean Patrick, his father Patrick Edward Farritor, his stepfather John McGraw, his grandmother Kathleen Dunne, his uncle's Brother Patrick Dunne and Richard Farritor.
Jack graduated from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign in 2000 with a degree in Economics. He was a proud member of the fraternity Acacia where he shared memorable times and fostered friendships of a lifetime with his Acacia brothers. He loved and respected each of them greatly. Jack worked many years at the Chicago Board of Trade as an options trader. In recent years he found his passion as a commercial real estate broker. With his entrepreneurial spirit, in 2022 he proudly founded and established Bull and Oak Properties in Apex, North Carolina.
Jack was a passionate fan of the Chicago White Sox, Chicago Bears and his Fighting Illini! After moving to Apex he also became a fan of all North Carolina sports teams and the SEC division of college football which includes his favorite LSU. Geaux Tigers!
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church in Apex, NC. Words of tribute and remembrance will be offered prior to mass at 10:45am by his loving wife Liz. Following the service, a reception will be held in the St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic fellowship hall.
