John J. Feeney of Scituate, formerly of Quincy originally from Claddagh, Co. Galway, Ireland died February 27, 2026 surrounded by his family. The beloved husband of 63 years to Bridget J. Feeney of Scituate. Loving father of Bridget A. Lewis and her husband Scott of S. Weymouth, John J. Feeney and his wife Denise of S. Weymouth, Anne T. Moloney and her husband Donny of S. Weymouth, Patrick T. Feeney and his wife Marnee of Quincy, Mary J. Feeney of Scituate and Martin F. Feeney and his wife Maureen of Quincy Brother of the late Patrick, Michael, Thomas, Martin and Mary Feeney. Cherished Pop to Connor, John Robert, Thomas, Kevin, Derek, Ashley, Aidan, Will and Avery.


John was born at home to Patrick Feeney and Anne (Gill) Feeney on April 20, 1937. At age 21 John and his brother Martin followed their brother Mike and moved to Boston. In 1969 he bought a house and moved his wife and kids to Quincy from Fields Corner. He was a talented electrician. In addition to being an electrician he also went on to be a surveyor for J.F. White construction Company. John was very smart and knowledgeable in everything, especially math. He worked sometimes two jobs to put his children into extracurricular activities. His daughters and sons played hockey, Soccer, baseball, basketball and Irish step dancing. Over the years he traveled back to Ireland many, many times to visit his family. He was very proud of his Irish heritage. Some of his favorite hobbies were fishing, listening to Irish music, dancing, hurling, soccer, hockey, meeting his friends for coffee, watching golf and doing crossword puzzles. He was a big Boston Bruins fan. He loved visiting family and friends, loved children, he loved going to his grandchildren's games and he rarely missed one of their hockey games. He went by many names, John, Johnny, Dad, Chief but his favorite name was Pop. His favorite thing was his family. He will be missed by many.




Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Friday, March 6th, 2026 from 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Saturday, March 7th prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of John may be made to New England Shelter for Homeless Veterans, 17 Court St., Boston, MA. John was a proud US Army Veteran.
