John Charles Feldhacker passed away while in hospice care for cancer at 5:20 p.m. on Monday, January 6, 2025 at the Longhouse Care Center in Spencer. John was 63 years, 3 months, and 2 days at the time of his passing. A celebration of life will be at a later date. 

John Charles Feldhacker was born on October 4, 1961, in Spencer, Iowa, the sixth born child of Raymond Peter and Vernice Eileen (De Weese) Feldhacker. He was educated in the Spencer public schools system.. 

His hobbies were fishing, hunting, and woodcarving. His hobby of woodcarving became his occupation. He was a self-taught and self-employed woodcarver and carved many beautiful wood carvings throughout the years. 

John was married to Laura Nicole Metcalfe on September 10, 1988 in Spencer and they later were divorced. There were no children born to them. 

John was remarried to Christine Marie (Gillespie) Neumann on May 7, 1994 in Spencer. John acquired two step sons, Nate Neumann and Coty Neumann through this marriage. John and Christine had one son together, Hunter Feldhacker. They later were divorced.

 On June 9, 2007, John was remarried to Sally Samantha Renken at Gull Point State Park in Milford, Iowa. They were the parents of two sons, Micah Feldhacker and Jeremiah Feldhacker.

 Survivors include his wife of seventeen years, Sally and three sons, Hunter Feldhacker, Micah Feldhacker, and Jeremiah Feldhacker and his two step-sons, Nate Neumann and Coty Neumann. John's siblings: Ed (Elaine) Feldhacker of Oakland, Iowa, Don (Deanna) Feldhacker of Lawton, Iowa, Mike Feldhacker of Pine Island, Minnesota, David (Carole) Feldhacker of Spencer, Iowa, and Laurie Feldhacker of Spencer, Iowa. Step grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. 

John was preceded in death by his parents Ray and Vernice Feldhacker and one sister Londa Marie Long, and three nieces, Tamara Kay Feldhacker, Kim Rochelle Dalke, and Brandee Marie Alexander.
