John Edward Flum; Age 78 of Saint Clair Shores, Michigan passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at his residence.
He was born on February 12, 1947 to Stanley and Betty Flum (nee: Lorenz) in Detroit, Michigan.. John retired as a Bio-medical Technician for St. John Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.
Committal Services with U.S. Army military honors will take place Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holly, Michigan 48442.
John proudly served in the U.S. Army and received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and Vietnam Service Medal upon being honorable discharged on October 22, 1968. John went on to marry Pearl Pellerito on September 17, 1971 at St. Jude’s Catholic Church in Detroit Michigan. He was a member of the VFW - Bruce Post #1146 in Saint Clair Shores, Michiigan. John enjoyed the outdoors and building electronics, he built his own TV in the 1970's.
John is survived by his wife of 54 years, Pearl M. Flum (nee: Pellerito) and 2 Sons, Jason J. Flum and Sean M. Flum. Brother of Richard Flum.

John was a quiet and nice person to be around in high school. He always had something nice or positive to say if you were feeling down. I´m sure he will be missed and our class of 1966 is shrinking- we hate to see a good one pass on !!R.I.P. John
