John David Folger, 57, died at home on Jan. 7, surrounded by family and love. John is survived by Rhonda Chandler Folger, his wife of 33 years; his son David Folger; his daughter Sharon Folger Wolf and her husband Houston Wolf; his sister, Beth Folger LaPlante; nieces and nephews; and his half-sisters, Rhonda Conner and Traci Lynn Stewart. He is preceded in death by his parents, Wiley and Ethel Folger.
John was born in Indianapolis and lived in Memphis, Tennessee, and Sao Paulo, Brazil, as a child. He served in the U.S. Air Force before coming home to be near family in central Indiana. John worked for Delta Faucet, where he made many lifelong friends. John had a mischievous nature, and anyone who knew him has a story to prove it.
A celebration of John’s life will take place at Flanner Buchanan-Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite) on January 13, with visitation from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and a funeral service at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in his memory to Firefly Children and Family Alliance.
