John Ford Obituary
John served in the United States Air Force of 20 years reaching the rank of Tsgt and serving as crew chief. John worked as an aircraft mechanic for several years for Lockheed Martin and Raytheon. In his free time, John enjoyed supporting the Eagles, his Alabama football teams and cooking for his family.
In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by sister, Teena Ford and brother, William Ford.
John is survived by his loving wife, Teresa Ford; children, Jennifer Thornton of Smyrna, Michael (Kelly) E. Lange of Culpeper, VA, and Ellen M. Chastain; brother, Ricky (Janice) Ford of Lexington, AL, and sister, Patricia (Troy) Ford of Lexington, AL.
Funeral services will be held at 4pm on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Torbert Funeral Chapels, 1145 E Lebanon Rd, Dover, DE. The viewing will begin at 3pm. The interment service will take place at 2pm on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE.
