Funeral services for Mr. John Lewis Foreman of Dublin, Georgia, will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at 3 PM at the Everlasting Gospel Non-Denominational Church at 1300 South Jefferson Street in Dublin. Prophetess Tracie Holliman will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Valdosta Baptist Church Cemetery.
John Lewis Foreman was born on Tuesday, June 1, 1948, in Montrose, Georgia to the late Mr. Jack and Mrs. Elizabeth Rozier Foreman. He was educated in Laurens County schools. He met and married Jacqueline Smith in April of 1988. He was a member of the Mount Tilla Baptist Church but later moved his membership to Valdosta Baptist Church of East Dublin. He retired from Laurens County Public Work Camp after 40 years of service.
Mr. John Lewis Foreman departed this life on Tuesday, March 4, 2025. He was preceded in death by his wife Jacqueline Foreman, father and mother, Jack and Elizabeth Foreman, his son, Eddie Lee Whitfield, Jr., three brothers, Willie B. Jones, April Foreman, and Toby G. Foreman, two sisters, Sallie Bell Smith, and Willie Mae Stanley.
He leaves to cherish his memories, two daughters, Chiquita Smith, LaToya "Tina" Foreman, two sons, Anthony "Amp" Whitfield, Johnathan Foreman, one sister, Eva (Benjamin) Davis, one brother, Jack (Connie) Foreman, three sisters-in-law, Deloris (Willie) Rozier, Marry Helen Jones, and Mary Foreman, four brothers-in-law, Robert Clark, Willie Frank Smith, Amos Smith, and Tony Smith, nineteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, an a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
