VANDALIA -- John Martin Fredrick affectionately known as Turtle, age 70, of Vandalia, passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2023.
John was born in Lima, Ohio on July 23, 1953 to the late Paul & Alyce Fredrick (Custer).
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Tracey Fredrick; children, Alison (Bob) Potts and Jonathan (Jennifier) Fredrick; grandchildren, Ava Potts, Dylan Potts and Luna Mae Fredrick; sisters, Sally Long, Carole (Tom) Hunsicker and Paula (Leonard) Newland; cousin and dear friend, Bill Fredericks; beloved grand-dog, Sampson; and many other relatives and friends.
John graduated from Lima Senior High class of 1971. He faithfully served in the US Air Force. John worked at Honeywell Inc. and Vista Consulting Group as a Project Manager. A man of high integrity and strong love for his family. He enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren grow in all aspects of life. John was a stoic man with words of strength and encouragement. He could fix anything, and always showed up.
Special thanks to Miami Valley Hospital for their compassion and support to him and his family in a time of need.
The family will receive friends from 2-3pm on Sunday, November 26, 2023 at the Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd. The service will follow at 3pm.
