John Ray Gadd

Born: February 3, 1927 | Died: May 11, 2025

John Ray Gadd, age 98 of Graysville, Tennessee passed away on May 11, 2025. He was born on February 3,1927, to George and Olive Gadd. A lifelong resident of the area, he served in the United States Navy and was a member of the Brayton Baptist Church.

He worked in construction as a plumber, kind and well respected by those who knew him and never met a stranger.

He was preceded in death by parents, wife Elizabeth Davis Gadd, son Jeff Gadd Sr., brothers: Clifford, Lawrence and Donald Gadd, sisters: Martha Donak, Betty Smith, Margaret Shadwick, Edna Adams, Freida Dreas, Bess Moore, Ethel Lundquist, and Clara Sincavage.

Survivors are children: Greg (Linda) Gadd of Rossville, Ga and Johnny Lawrence (Marlyn) Gadd of Graysville, Tennessee. Grandchildren: Jeff (Lori) Gadd Jr. and Ginny Beth Gadd. Great-Grandchildren Brody and Kayla Gadd. Several niece and nephews. Funeral Services were held on Thursday, May 15, 2025, in the chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Pastor Dennise McChargue and Deacon Bobby Hudson officiating. The family received friends from 12:00 PM until the time of service. Burial with military honors will follow in Brayton Cemetery.
