John Gallagher Obituary

Mr. Gallagher served in the Army stationed in Korea, during the Vietnam Era. He was a Customer Service Manager, retiring from Solvay Solexis, formerly Ausimont and Allied Chemical.
Mr. Gallagher was a parishioner of St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church in Sparta and a member of the VFW Post 7248 of Sparta. He was a true family man and enjoyed spending time with each of his family members.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife, Marjorie in 2016; and siblings: Marie (William) McLaughlin, Claire (Charles) McCarthy, Thomas (Barbara) Gallagher, Lawrence (Patricia) Gallagher, Rita Marcincak, Peter Gallagher and James Gallagher; and his brother in law: Michael Self.
He is survived by four sons: John (Kristen) Gallagher Jr. of Byram, Thomas (Jessica) Gallagher of Roxbury, Michael (Kristen) Gallagher of Roxbury and Sean (Jennifer) Gallagher of Medford; a brother, Joseph (Joann) Gallagher; a sister, Margaret Gallagher; brother-in-law, John Marcincak; sisters-in-law: Barbara Gallagher and Glenda (Howard) Frank; his grandchildren: Alicia (Michael) Henry, Thomas (Alyssa) Gallagher Jr., Courtny (Casey) Margo, Tyler (Val) Gallagher, Jacqueline (Bryan) Richards, Kaitlyn (Samuel) Ignatuk, Michael Gallagher Jr., Riley Gallagher, Taylor Gallagher, Sean Gallagher Jr., George Gallagher and Shane Gallagher; his great-grandchildren: Gian, Bliss, Brock, Honor, Grant, Remi, Amelia, Olivia, Gavin, Rhett, Tyler Jr., Claire, Georgianna and Cecilia; and many nieces, nephews and loving family.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, March 30 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at Morgan Funeral Home, 31 Main Street, Netcong. Funeral services will begin on Thursday, March 31 at 8:30AM at the funeral home to a 9:30 AM Mass at St. Kateri Tekakwitha RC Church, 427 Stanhope Sparta Rd, Sparta.
