Mr. John W. Garvey, Jr., age 67 of
Madison, Indiana, entered this life on September 3, 1956 in Jefferson County, Indiana. He was the loving son of the late John W., Sr. and Bertha Beatrice Bell Garvey. He lived in Ripley County and attended school there before residing in Jefferson County. On March 19, 1974, John was united in marriage to Patricia Ann Jester in
Madison, Indiana. This happy union of 50 years was blessed with a daughter, Tonya, and a son, John William. He worked early in life in carpentry, five years with Hensler Construction and 15 years with Wolfschlag Construction. He retired with over 25 years of service with Madison Chemical Company. John was of the Christian faith and enjoyed his flowers and gardens. He loved playing in the pool and being with his family and grandchildren. He liked fishing, hunting, playing golf, and watching anything with racing, especially NASCAR. John died on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at 9:23 a.m. at the University of Cincinnati Hospital in

John will be missed by his loving wife of 50 years, Patricia "Patty" Ann Jester Garvey of
Madison, Indiana; his loving daughter, Tonya Michelle Tullis and her husband, Jeff of
Madison, Indiana; his loving son, John William Garvey and his wife, Becky of Vevay, Indiana; his loving grandchildren, Toran Adams (Lauren), Ryan Adams (Kayla Rodriguez), Makenna Tullis, Cameron "Cami" Garvey, Baylee "Boo" Garvey; his adoring great grandchildren, Ella, Ava, Nova, Carter "Bo Carter"; his sisters, Debra Coghill of
Carrollton, Kentucky, Pamela Bradley of Versailles, Indiana, Sandra Bush and her husband, Don of Versailles, Indiana, JoAnn Boldery and her husband, Tim of
Madison, Indiana, Brenda Wilson and her husband, Tony of
Madison, Indiana; his sister in laws, Carol Cole and her husband, Randy of
Madison, Indiana, Penny Book and her husband, Leo of
Madison, Indiana; his brother in law, Stephen Goldsmith of
Madison, Indiana; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, John W. Garvey, Sr., died November 12, 1998, his mother, Bertha Beatrice Bell Garvey, died April 16, 1973, his sister, Rebecca Lynn "Becky" Garvey Chase, May 29, 2022, his granddaughter, Katelyn "Katie Bug" BreAnn Tullis, died May 31, 2023, his brother in law and sister in law, Tony Jester, died April 3, 2023 and Deborah Jester Roberts, died September 15, 2009, his father in law and mother in law, William F. Jester, died 2002 and Stella Mae Breeden Jester, died in 1992.
FUNERAL CEREMONY
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., by Neil Stewart at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in

VISITATION
Friends may visit Friday from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in
Madison, Indiana.
