John Geddings, 79, died Friday, September 5, 2025, at his home.

Born in Winnsboro, SC, he was a son of the late Henry Geddings and Jeanette Geddings.

Mr. Geddings was a member of Wise Drive Church of the Nazarene and a retired ceramic tile installer.

Surviving are two sons, John Geddings, III (Tammy) of Sumter and David Geddings (Margaret) of Manning; two daughters, Cale Yates (Josh) of Manning and Angela Geddings (George) of Sumter; one brother, Jack Geddings of FL; one sister, Doris Beard of Columbia; 9 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Loretta Geddings.

He was preceded in death by siblings and a great-grandson, Michael Tripp Langley, III.

The family will receive friends from 2 P.M. to 3 P.M. Sunday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held at 3 P.M. Sunday in the Chapel of the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with Rev. Sammy Geddings officiating.

Burial will follow in the Paxville Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Lonnie Hodge, Dusty Hodge, Dalton Hodge, J. B. Hodge, Bobby Fricker, and Bubba Preast.

Memorials may be made to Wise Drive Church of the Nazarene, P. O. Box 1405, Sumter, SC 29151, or to Paxville Baptist Church, 10278 Lewis Road, Manning, SC 29102.
