John Giardini

John Giardini, age 90, of Shelton entered into rest on Sunday, October 20, 2024 at Hewitt Memorial Hospital.
He was the beloved companion of 22 years to Rosemarie A. Fabiano. John was born in Derby, on September 20, 1934, son of the late Louis and Bertha (Zabawa) Giardini and was a Fairfield resident for most of his life before moving to Derby where he resided for 22 years.
He was a devout catholic and a communicant of St. Mary Church. John worked for Hubbell Incorporated for 25 years prior to his retirement. He was an avid N.Y. Yankees and N.Y. Giants fan. John enjoyed playing cards, listening to music and going to shows. Most of all, he cherished spending time with his family.
He was the brother of Theresa Olenoski and her husband Peter and uncle of Peter Olenoski, Louis Giardini, John Giardini, Lynn Giardini, Amber Giardini and Glenn Giardini. He was predeceased by two brothers Louis Giardini and Thomas Giardini and a nephew Michael Olenoski.
On Saturday, friends are invited to his Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 PM at St. Mary Church, 212 Elizabeth St., Derby.
The Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton has been entrusted with his arrangements.
