John Joseph Gleich, 82, of Corpus Christi, Texas, formerly of Schaumburg, Illinois, passed away on December 17, 2025. Born in Chicago on January 20, 1943, John lived a life full of love, hard work, and adventure.

At age 15, John met the love of his life, Frances Steele. They married in 1966 and shared nearly 60 wonderful years together. John proudly served his country by enlisting in the U.S. Navy in 1960. After his service, he built a successful career as a Maintenance Supervisor at ITW Hi Cone, following earlier years at Patten Industries.

John was a devoted family man. He is survived by his beloved wife Frances; his children Jim (Pam) Gleich and Karen (Brian) Stuchl; five grandchildren Briana, Joshua, Karsen, Travis, and Brisen; and two great-grandchildren Julian and Tyler Gleich. His family was his greatest joy.

John’s hobbies reflected his love for life: fishing, boating, woodworking, traveling, building models, home improvements, and watching John Wayne movies. Recently, he and Frances moved to South Texas to be near family, where he spent his final months exploring and enjoying the area.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Salerno’s Rosedale Chapels, 450 W Lake St, Roselle, Illinois.

Visitation will also be on Saturday, January 31st, 2026 at 9:00 AM  until time of Funeral Service at 10:00 AM at the same location. Family and Friends are invited to a Luncheon after the Services.

John will be remembered for his kindness, humor, and unwavering love for his family. His legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew him.
