Roger "Curly" Gleich Obituary
Roger “Curly” Gleich, age 94, passed away on August 13, 2025 in Fort Myers, Florida.
He was born on August 16, 1930, in Alliance, to Charles and Leah (Marquay) Gleich.
He graduated from Alliance High School. Curly worked for the Alliance Street department from 1947-1982 and was the Superintendent from 1963-1982. Upon his retirement he moved to Ft. Myers, Florida. Curly was a member of St. Columbkille Catholic Church in Fort Myers and the Alliance Elks.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Deborah Gleich whom he married in 2013; son, Mike (Mary) Gleich; grandchildren, Nanette (Tyler) Schmidt, Darilynn (Louie) Rainieri, Danny (Amanda) Brady; great-grandson, Jovanni Rainieri; step-son, Eric (Renee) Tabin; and step-daughter, Niki Tabin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Betty Gleich who passed in 2007; and son, Darry Gleich; daughter, Katherine Fitzelle.
Per his wishes, no services will be held. Curly will be laid to rest at Highland Memorial Park.
