Patricia Lee Hoopes, 78, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2025, at Aultman Hospital in Canton.
Patricia, known by many as "Pat," was born on November 24, 1946, in Morgantown, West Virginia, the daughter of the late David Ray Satterfield and Cora Virginia (McMillen) Satterfield.
Patricia was a graduate of Alliance High School. Pat was known for her strong work ethic in her multiple supervisor roles, especially at Coastal Pet Products in Alliance. She was known as a great supervisor, always remaining fair and a source of optimism for her fellow coworkers.
While Patricia knew the value of hard work, she never shied away from the lighter things in life. Her wonderful sense of humor created many moments of lightheartedness for her friends and family. Even before her final breaths, Patricia was laughing with the nurses that were caring for her.
Patricia's family was the cornerstone of her life, and she reveled in every moment she got to spend with them. She delighted in teaching the younger generations the art of cooking and baking. Patricia's freshly baked bread and famous peanut butter fudge were among her family's favorites.
When Patricia wasn't working or spending time with her family, she could often be found enjoying a bag of potato chips while watching classic western films. She also found joy in listening to the classic country music channels on her television, all while next to her companion in her later years, Pepé the Chihuahua.
She leaves to carry on her memory, the love of her life, Cary Heestand of Austintown; children, Bryan (Nora) Heestand of Salem, Christopher Heestand of Georgia; brothers Clarence "Jerry" (Vickie) Satterfield of Salem, and Raymond Satterfield of Florida; sister, Shirley (Bob) Bauer of Florida; grandchildren, Tyler (Brinley) Heestand, Samantha (Tyler) Roth, Luke (Mercedes) Heestand, Emmanuel "Manny" Heestand, Sarah (fiancé Austin Beeman) Heestand, and twins, Ethan and Evan Heestand; and great-grandchildren, Emmarose Heestand, Ryker Lisk, and Madelyn Roth.
In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her son, Michael Heestand; infant sister, Peggy Louise Satterfield; and daughter in law, Debora Heestand.
Per Patricia's request, there will be no calling hours or service.
