John is survived by his children, Chasidy Goersmeyer, John (Julia) Goersmeyer Jr., and Penny (Mike) Zaletel; grandchildren, Jason Federoff Jr., Annabella King, Isabella Federoff, Brayden Goersmeyer, Violet Goersmeyer, Hudson Goersmeyer, Riley Zaletel, and Finnigan Goersmeyer; siblings, Christine (Bob) Haun, Gretchen Goersmeyer, and Barbara (Greg) Shaffer.
Along with his parents, John is preceded in death by his sister, April Goersmeyer.
John spent his career at Cleveland Public Power where he retired in 2005. In his spare time, he enjoyed animals, the outdoors, and was an avid hunter and bowler. However, the most important thing to John was his family, especially his grandchildren. They were his pride and joy. John was a friend to all who knew him and he will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of Life reception will be held Wednesday, November 8th, 2023, from 5:00 to 7:00PM at the Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road North Olmsted, Ohio 44070.
