Send FlowersJohn Theodore "Ted" Good, 82, resident of Jamestown, RI and Williamsburg, VA, died peacefully at the Rhode Island Hospital Oncology Center on Wednesday, August 6, 2025.
Born and raised in Warren, IN, Ted graduated from The Defiance College in 1965. He was first introduced to the ocean in 1966 while serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a Vietnam Veteran.
Ted married Sandra Del Nero of Newport, RI, in 1968. The lovebirds lived in Fairport, New York for over 25 years, where he started Good Associates, an executive recruitment firm and raised his family. He loved New England, the ocean, lobster and the Boston Red Sox.
Family, friends and his community, especially The Rotary Club, gave Ted the opportunity to demonstrate the motto "service above self."
Ted is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sandra, their daughters, Heather Bell (Jonathan) and Stacy McOmber (David), and their four grandchildren Grace and Ella McOmber, and Sadie and Aden Bell.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025 from 2:00-5:00pm at the O'Neill-Hayes Funeral Home, 465 Spring Street, Newport.
A Celebration of Life is planned for a later date.
