John Goodman Obituary
John Wayne Goodman passed away May 24, 2025 at the age of 75. He was born April 12, 1950 to the late Wilburn and Susie Goodman.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Paula Goodman; sisters, Sarah Julian and Irene Campbell; brothers, Jimmy Goodman, William Goodman, Tommy Goodman, Buford Goodman, Harvey Lee Goodman and Barney Goodman.
He is survived by his children, Susie (DeWayne) Folkes, Roxanne (Dickie) Brewer, Shelley Julian, Marilyn (Gabriel) Ellis and Obie Wayne; grandchildren, Tina (Johnathon) Owens, Jessica Julian, Elizabeth Julian, Destiny (Bradley) Carter, Tori Folkes (Reid Smitherman); ten great-grandchildren; siblings, Edna Mae Pierce and Junior (Betty) Goodman and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be Friday, May 30, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home in Selma with Archie Owens officiating. Interment will follow at Pineview Memory Gardens in Valley Grande. Visitation will be at the funeral home in Selma, begin at 11:00 a.m., prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be Johnathon Owens, Archie Owens, Justin Blackmon, Reid Smitherman, Bradley Carter, Andrew Owens, Cory Goodman and Steven Goodman.
If you wish to honor Wayne by planting a memorial tree at Pineview Memory Gardens in her memory, you may do so below. Your tribute will create a lasting legacy and bring comfort to family and friends for years to come.
