John M. Gorges

August 8th, 1965- October 16th, 2025

It is with deep sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of John Michael Gorges, age 60 of New London, WI, on Thursday October 16th, 2025 after a short battle with cancer. John was born on August 8th, 1965 to the late Marlin and Virginia (Casey) Gorges.

John was the devoted father to two daughters, Hailee Gorges and Courtney Flease (Gorges), who were the pride and joy of his life. He loved his daughters more than anything in this world.

After high school, John joined the workforce where he worked at Curwood, now Amcor, for 35+ years. John was an avid outdoorsman. If he wasn't working at Amcor he was out hunting, fishing, trapping, or drinking a cold keystone with his buddies.

John was looking forward to retirement in a few years, meeting his first grandson this coming December, and walking his daughter, Hailee, down the aisle in May.

He is survived by his two daughters; Hailee (Kaleb Lueck) Gorges and Courtney (Trevor) Flease. Two sisters, Chris (Kevin) Jones, New London; Sherry (Tim) Yandre, New London; three brothers, Chuck (Jane) Gorges, New London; Jeff Gorges (Sue McBurney), New London; Greg (Julie) Gorges, New London. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Marlin and Virginia Gorges, and his sister, Debra Koeppl.

"A father's love doesn't end with his last breath. It becomes the wings that will guide his daughters through life."

A Celebration of Life for John will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Bean City Bar and Grill starting at 11:00 a.m.
