Grady, John F, III of Bristol, RI and Naples, FL, formerly of Barrington, RI, passed away unexpectedly on March 24, 2023. He was born on February 18, 1961, a son of the late John F. and Julia Grady, for whom he loved deeply.
In 2021, John retired to Naples, Florida from a 42-year career at National Grid to spend more time playing his beloved game of golf. Splitting his time between Montaup Country Club and Glen Eagle Country Club, John spent many days on the course telling his partners to "miss them straight!" John will be remembered by his many friends for his fun-loving outgoing and loyal personality, as an avid New England Patriots Fan and by his bright red Mustang convertible, his dream car he purchased as a celebration of his retirement. He was incredibly proud of his twin daughters who he admired for being caring and successful young women.
He is survived by his twin daughters Victoria Grady and Shannon Grady Duffy and her husband John and his siblings Thomas M. Grady and his wife Rosemary Grady, Sharon Grady Crausman and her husband William Crausman, Maureen Nemati and her husband Cyrus Nemati, Margaret "Peg" Blume and her husband Peter Blume and brother in law Bruce Medeiros.. He is predeceased by his sister Mary "Kat" Medeiros and Aunt Mary Sugrue O'Brien who lived in the family home and shared many good times.
The funeral will be held Friday, March 31st at 8:30 from the Monahan, Drabble & Sherman Funeral Home, 210 Taunton Avenue with a Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Luke's Church, 108 Washington Road, Barrington at 10:00. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Rhode Island Good Neighbor Energy Fund, www.unitedwayri.org/gnef. Condolences at www.monahandrabblesherman.com

To The Grady family:
So sorry to hear of the passing of John. We were classmates and friends at Barrington High. I can still see him walking into the senior banquet with tootsie pop in hand and a big " Who Loves ya baby hello". He will be missed.
May the Lord welcome him in " When the Roll is called up yonder"
God Bless you all in Christ's name
Amen

I met John in Naples FL. He spoke fondly of his children and the recent wedding of one of his daughters. John was a good man and loyal friend. May his family find peace and comfort and may God bless his soul and protect all of you. I´m so sorry.

I'm so sorry to all of the Grady's and Johnny's family. Lots of childhood memories that date back to baby John outside in the playpen. When I bought my first car, a '66 Mustang Convertible - John said, "nice wheels Lori Lee." Glad to see he had a Mustang of his own. May your memories be a blessing.
