John David Griffin

John David Griffin, age 86, of Bristow, Virginia, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on December 23, 2025. He was born in Cramerton, NC and lived and worked in Rutherford County for many years, where he owned and operated Griffin Insurance Agency. Those who knew John will remember his deep-rooted faith in Jesus and his rare gift of never meeting a stranger, leaving a lasting impact on all who crossed his path.

John is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy Pacetti Griffin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jeff A. Griffin and Mary Juanita Patton Griffin; his son, John David Griffin Jr.; brother George Burgess Griffin and sister, Sara McEntire.

In addition to his wife, John is survived by his children Lee Harris, Teresa Shearsmith, George Schultz, Joe Schultz, Bonnie Goforth, Jerry Schultz, Alison Amar and his brother Frank Griffin. He leaves behind many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Crowe's Funeral Chapel.

Burial will follow at Eternal Hills Memorial Park.
