John G. Grimshaw

John Gerard Grimshaw, 72, of Palmer, Massachusetts, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026. Born on February 6, 1954, in Springfield, Massachusetts, he was the son of Theresa (LeClerc) Grimshaw and the late Francis Grimshaw.

John had a great appreciation for nature and the outdoors, and enjoyed fishing whenever he had the chance. He made many lasting friendships over the years working at Atlas and looked forward to weekend breakfasts. Above all else, John cherished the time he spent with his family and grandchildren, who brought him great happiness and joy.

John was preceded in death by his father, Francis Grimshaw, and his brother, Kenneth Grimshaw. He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 50 years, Jacqueline (Deforge) Grimshaw; his daughter, Rebecca Flores and her husband, Jose; his cherished grandchildren, Julian, Xavier, and Andre Flores; his loving mother, Theresa Grimshaw; his brothers, Roger, Steven, and Kevin Grimshaw; his sister, Kathy Wilkinson; and his nephews, Matthew Grimshaw and his wife Lisa, Michael Grimshaw, and Justin Grimshaw and his wife Danielle.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for the staff of Baystate D'Amour Cancer Center and Baystate Hospice for the compassionate care and support provided to John.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
